People who work in a Theater: Do the Movies still play even if no one is in there watching it?

So, My friend and I were just discussing if movies at the theater
still played if no one was in there? Like if no one buys a ticket for
the screening at a certain time and the room is empty . . . do they
still play the movie or do they just not screen it? I once went to
watch a movie and me and the people i went with were the only ones
there. so my question is , IF NO ONE BOUGHT A TICKET TO WATCH A
CERTAIN MOVIE DO THEY STILL PUT IT ON IN AN EMPTY ROOM?
