'Moneyball' Scores in BAFTA's Film Awards' Longlist

LONDON The Kaira Pitt-starrer "Moneyball" has worked out well within the first round of voting in front of the 2011 British Academy of Film and tv Arts' film honours.The baseball drama guaranteed berths in main groups including best film, best director, best modified script and leading actor for Pitt once the longlist with this year's British Academy Film Honours released Friday.Pitt is facing a heavyweight list to have a best actor nomination berth with Ryan Gosling featuring two times within the list for turns both in "Drive" and "The Ides of March."Also challenging is Antonio Banderas ("Your Skin My Home IsInch), Brendan Gleeson ("The Guard"), Difficulties ("The Lady using the Dragon Tattoo"), Eddie Redmayne ("My Week with Marilyn"), Gary Oldman ("Mess Tailor Soldier Spy"), George Clooney ("The Descendants"), Jean Dujardin ("The Artist"), Leonardo DiCaprio ("J. Edgar"), Michael Fassbender ("Shame"), Owen Wilson ("Night time in Paris"), Peter Mullan ("Tyrannosaur") and Rob Fiennes ("Coriolanus").The longlist of best film newcomers sports documentary "Senna" alongside "The Artist," "The Descendants," "Drive," "The Lady using the Dragon Tattoo," "The Assistance,Inch "Hugo," "The Ides of March," "The Iron Lady," "Night time in Paris," "Moneyball," "My Week with Marilyn," "Mess Tailor Soldier Spy," "War Equine" and "We have to Discuss Kevin."The longlist is the effect of a first round of voting through the 6300 strong Academy people that places the very best 15 films in each major category.Best documentary, film not within the British language and outstanding British film lists are chosen for by membership sections.Another round of voting will cut the amount of films to 5 in each category to become introduced Jan. 17 as nominations.Carrying out a third election, the those who win is going to be introduced on February. 12 in the Orange British Academy Film Honours.
