Bouhnik's 'Q' provided to many areas
PARIS -- Launched a year ago within the Unifrance Rendez-Vous, Matteo Lovadina's sales outfit Reel Suspects has closed a raft of deals on Laurent Bouhnik's raunchy relationship comedy "Q." Pic was nabbed by Aquelarre for that country, Cooperative Nouveau Cinema for Benelux, Clorofilm for Romania, Kt Films for Macedonia, Anjou Lafayette in Hungary and Cinema EU in Bulgaria. The Paris-based shingle has furthermore inked additional sales on Lithuanian first-timer Saulius Drunga's "Anarchy in Zirmunai." Pic, which carried out at Moscow fest and won the Silver St. George jerk, remains clicked up up by Russia's Kamer Ton Media and Taiwan's Multivisionaire. Meanwhile, Reel Suspects has added Canadian director Tara Johns' debut "The Season Dolly Parton Was My Mother" towards the slate. Mongrel distributed the pic in Canada last March. A coming-of-age dramedy occur the seventies, "Mother" triggers an adopted 11-year-old girl who's convinced her biological mother is Dolly Parton, her favorite music artist, and embarks around the journey to discover her.
